Hello! Welcome! Greetings!

Greetings!  Welcome and lovely to meet you.  So glad you are here.

Pull up a seat.  Grab a cup of coffee or tea or whatever your favorite beverage is and allow me to introduce myself and my family.

I'm Rhiannon.  I am really excited about this blog and I am glad you have found it and are here for a visit.  I hope you stop by often and that I get to know you through comments and interactions.

I have lots of blogs I have started here-and-there, but this is going to be my main one from here on.  No sense in trying to keep everything separate.  I'll tag each post so any readers interested in just a few topics can sort through the "mess."  But I am 100% me, 100% of the time and as a whole person 24/7 I won't likely stick to just one topic per post.

A few things about my family:
I married my high school sweetheart (we began dating our senior year of high school and finally married six years later).  We will be celebrating 12 years of marriage later this year! (It just occurred to me that today is our engagement date -13 years ago today Alex proposed.)  We have three beautiful children and though I'm certain my pregnancy days are over (my body and pregnancy don't mix well) I would love to adopt at least one more.  Our daughters, Katelyn (age 7) and Grace (age 5) are amazing little girls full of love, energy, curiosity, strong will and spunk!  Our son, Rockwell (age 1) is my little water-loving, spunky dare-devil monkey that I have lovingly nick-named, "Bam-Bam."

We are a homeschooling family (as of this school year) and I'm sure many of my posts will focus on homeschooling.  We love to play games, watch movies, go camping, take vacations, read books and learn together.

Here are some pictures of us from our visit to Tucson, Arizona last Thanksgiving (to see my father).

My father had this photo idea.   Two plants are growing in almost the same spot and are pushing against each other and he had the girls act like the plants.  :-)

A typical week for us includes:
  • Homeschooling (including our classes with Classical Conversations and rock climbing through Action Sports and soon to resume piano and signing lessons)
  • Lots of playing & life lessons (all part of homeschooling, but we do it all day long)
  • Loads of laundry
  • Therapy (physical, speech and mental ;-)
  • Lots of work (Alex works two jobs)
  • Cooking, Shopping and Meal Planning
  • Church Activities (we have "small group" weekly,  plus Sunday services)
  • Arts & Crafts (we are a bit addicted)
  • Lots of baths (Rockwell's favorite thing on earth is water!)
  • Cuddling, snuggling, hugging, back scratches and hand holding :D
A few things about just me:
  • I am someone that believes in planning and preparing, yet am impulsive and tend to procrastinate
  • I thrive off of social interaction, but go crazy if I don't get essential quiet time with God and time for just myself
  •  I am passionate about human rights and loving "the least of these"
  • I have had a life-long dream to run a marathon -I will ONE DAY!
  • I don't watch much television, but I am addicted to Pinterest, Facebook, a few games I play on my iPhone, and I am a Netflix junkie
  • I am on the verge of becoming a vegan (I'll post lots about that)
  • I wish I could live three life-times ---there's so much I want to learn/do/try/see!!!
  • I am a terrible singer, but I love to sing and make up songs
  • I love to write
  • I love jewelry, but rarely wear any
  • If I could live anywhere I'd live in Hawaii (Maui, if money was no object)
  • I wish my husband wanted to be a missionary
  • I am learning how to sew
  • I'm deathly afraid of bears
  • I need a hair cut
  • I talk a lot
  • I like being 35, but I am not a fan of wrinkles and gray hairs
